I had to pick up a keyboard ($7) and I went for a 32g card ($12) and I'm using my Wii U pro controllers that I already had so for ~$70 I now have a pi that has over 400 NES/SNES/SEGA/N64/GB/GBC/GBA/PSX games on it. For me, I wanted the classic as a collectors item, something to put on my shelf with my old consoles. Brickseek is an online tool that can help you find clearance in stores such as Walmart, Target or more. Walmart specializes is dumping out product and shoving it out the door. You're just at the mercy of corporate forces. I found this round of stuff and the Raph/Casey sets with it. At this point I'd say if you're only looking for a way to play classic games get a pi.
